After installing this plugin, you will need to connect your site to WordPress.com. Once it is done, you can see the option to activate mobile theme for your blog. Click on “Activate” to activate this module. Now you can check out your site from smartphone to see your new mobile theme.
Click on “Configure” to further configure this module. You can select to enable excerpts on front page and archive pages or select the option to show full posts. The default options are just fine but you may want to configure it as per your wish.
It uses the header image, background, and widgets from your current theme for a great custom look. Post format support is also included, so your photos and galleries will look good on smartphones.
Visitors on iPhone (iOS), Android, Windows Phone, and other mobile devices will automatically see the mobile theme, with the option to view the full site. Mobile visitors will need to click on “Switch to full version” to switch to original theme.
Note that those using responsive WordPress themes need not to use this feature of Jetpack plugin and the reason behind this is responsive theme automatically resizes for different devices.
