Subtle Background Patterns is a new WordPress plugin that lets you add different subtle patterns from the WordPress background customizer. You have the choice to choose from 300+ background patterns to add to your site, all without touching any coding file.
After installing and activating this plugin, you will be able to select backgrounds from Appearance > Background. Even if your theme does not come with any background image chooser, this plugin will add that option.
From this page, click on “Select a Subtle Pattern as Background.” Now you’ll be able to select a pattern/background. Click on a pattern that you would like to see in a Live Preview.
This preview can only be seen by an admin by navigating to the front-end of the site. It is a good idea to check a preview so that you can get a clear idea of how the new background will look like. If you like the new pattern, then click on “Save background” button.
When you add a background, that image is added to your media library. The plugin will only add your chosen background to your library so that the image is loaded from your server, and not from any other remote server. Apart from selecting an image using this method, you can also insert an image by manually uploading your own background image by clicking on “Choose file” button.
